ICS for Emergency Responders

The need for the development of an emergency command system is discussed including the federal requirements that all emergency response agencies have in place, and train their personnel to utilize an incident command system. The components of the Incident Command System, Command ? Operations ? Logistics ? Planning ? Finance are explained. The techniques for solving span of control problems are discussed. The important role of Incident Commander is emphasized. Participants will gain hands on experience in the development of Strategic Goals and Tactical Objectives and the implementation of a plan they develop. This program follows the national curriculum for Incident Command Systems. 8 hours

ICS for Supervisory Personnel

An expanded version of the above program with more emphasis on the development of incident plans and strategies. The participants will have a greater opportunity to develop Strategic Goals and Tactical Objectives during several simulations of varying types. 16 hours ICS for Executives An overview of the Incident Command System for agency executives and political leaders, who although not involved at the operational level, should understand ICS terms and procedures so they can make better informed decisions with regard to budgets and training goals.
